DESCRIPTION:The Feast of Saints Peter and Paul is celebrated annually on June 29th. It’s a solemnity\, the highest rank for a liturgical feast in the Catholic Church\, commemorating the martyrdom of these two prominent apostles. While they were very different individuals\, their combined influence on the early Church is recognized by this shared feast day.  \nThe traditional Peter’s Pence collection takes place on this day. It is a concrete way to support the Holy Father in his mission of service to the universal Church. \n Peter’s Pence is a gesture of communion and participation in the Pope’s mission to proclaim the Gospel\, promote peace\, and spread Christian charity. \n To support this initiative\, the Secretariat for the Economy and the Dicastery for Communication of the Holy See have prepared informational and multimedia materials to illustrate its significance.
