DESCRIPTION:You are invited to join a Candle-light Vigil in Dundee’s City Square\, on Friday 30th October\, 2025\, from 6-8pm\, drawing attention to 18\,710 abortions were performed in Scotland last year – the highest number on record\, representing a 3% increase from 2023. The termination rate increased to 17.9 per 1\,000 women aged 15-44.  \nKey factors influencing the statistics include a rise in repeat abortions and a significant increase in rates for women in the most deprived areas\, who are twice as likely to have an abortion compared to those in the least deprived areas.
