DESCRIPTION:Join the Cecilian Choir at St Andrew’s RC Cathedral\, Nethergate\, Dundee on Monday 30th March\, 7.00-8.30pm as they perform The Crucifixion\, bringing this masterpiece to the Diocese of Dunkeld as it prepares for Easter. \n\n\n\nSir John Stainer’s The Crucifixion: A Meditation on the Sacred Passion of the Holy Redeemer is one of the most enduring and widely performed choral works in the English-speaking world. \n\n\n\nComposed in 1887\, it was designed as a liturgical tool for Passiontide\, leading up to Easter. Its significance in Easter preparation lies in its function as a communal “meditation” rather than just a concert piece.

DESCRIPTION:Prior Simon and the Community of Pluscarden Abbey have pleasure in announcing this year’s Pluscarden Pentecost Lectures which will take place from the afternoon of 26 May until the morning of 28 May. Each year\, since 1994\,  they invite a distinguished theologian to deliver a series of four lectures\, to which all are welcome. There is no charge for attending. The Lectures take place in St Scholastica’s Guesthouse; tea and coffee are provided\, plus lunch on the Wednesday. DESCRIPTION:We invite YOU to the National Festival of Synodality at Glasgow Caledonian University\, a day inspired by Pope Francis’ call to be “witnesses to synodality.” The Festival will focus on Conversation in the Spirit\, a simple and powerful way of communal discernment rooted in listening\, conversion and mission. \nThe day will celebrate the fruits already flourishing in the Church in Scotland and include input from Bishop Alan McGuckian SJ\, Fr David McCallum SJ and Sandra Chaoul. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience Conversation in the Spirit firsthand.
