Despite the ravages of recent flooding, Lourdes was very much open for business as pilgrims from throughout the Diocese of Dunkeld discovered during their Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Shrine in Lourdes.
The work carried out by the Lourdes Authorities and Sanctuary Staff enabled the pilgrims to attend all the events as indicated on their programme. This year’s pilgrimage was led by Pilgrimage Director Fr Brian McLean, assisted by Fr Neil Gallagher, Director of the Youth Pilgrimage and Fr Kenny O’Brien, Assistant Director of the Youth Pilgrimage. Also present on the pilgrimage were Fr Gregory Murphy OP and Canon Michael Milton.
The Liturgies were enhanced by the music group under the direction of Miss Susan Cassidy and members of the Youth Pilgrimage provided much needed support to the medical staff who looked after the sick and handicapped pilgrims.
