Silent Candle-light Vigil

You are invited to join a Candle-light Vigil in Dundee’s City Square, on Friday 30th October, 2025, from 6-8pm, drawing attention to 18,710 abortions were performed in Scotland last year – the highest number on record, representing a 3% increase from 2023. The termination rate increased to 17.9 per 1,000 women aged 15-44.
Key factors influencing the statistics include a rise in repeat abortions and a significant increase in rates for women in the most deprived areas, who are twice as likely to have an abortion compared to those in the least deprived areas.
