135th Anniversary of St. Dominic’s RC Primary

Schools

On Thursday 5th February 2026, the school community St. Dominic’s RC Primary in Crieff celebrated their 135th anniversary, with the school being established when the first parents entrusted their children’s education to the Dominican nuns who had travelled to Crieff to establish a convent and a school.

There were also two other birthdays celebrated today: it is 60 years since St. Dominic’s moved into their current school building, and it was also the birthday of the head teacher, Mrs Hunter!

A special Mass for the whole school community was led by the parish priest and school chaplain, Fr Tobias, and he was joined by Mgr Drysdale who had also been the priest and chaplain in Crieff for over twenty years. The school’s tapestry (pictured below) was also blessed at the end of Mass.
