Primary 4/5 children at St Thomas’ Primary, Arbroath, celebrated the start of Advent with a School Mass. The pupils of P4/5 helped prepare and lead the Mass which was celebrated by Fr Andrew Marshall.
Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Reid said, “The children read beautifully and our Advent wreath, which was made by one of our parents, was blessed by Fr Andrew. The children are pictured with Fr Andrew Marshall and Miss Bianca MacLeod, their class teacher.”
The school’s Advent wreath sat alongside their very special Nativity Scene, which was a gift to their headteacher, Mrs Reid, from her great uncle, the late Mgr Charles Hendry.
Each year, with fond memories, it is on display in the school.
