Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the holy season of Lent.

Although it is not a Holy Day of Obligation, Catholics are encouraged to attend Mass today and receive the imposition of ashes as a visible sign of repentance and our desire to turn back to the Lord.

Today we begin our Lenten journey- marked with ashes, a sign of repentance.

Canon Kevin invites us to seek renewal in our lives, minds and hearts, turning back to the Lord through prayer, fasting and charity.

May this season draw us closer to Christ as we journey toward Easter.
