Dundee pilgrims head to Fatima

Pilgrims from St Ninian’s and St Clement’s, Dundee, recently spend five days in Fatima and Lisbon. In the sanctuary they visited the Holy Trinity Church,  and, att the Basilica, Mass was celebrated in the Chapel of Apparitions and the group visited the museum where they saw the crown of Our Lady of Fatima  which contained the bullet that hit Pope John Paul ii in 1981.

There was time too to follow the Way of the Cross and to take part in the candlelit procession with the statue  of Our Lady of Fatima and the next evening the took part in the Blessed Sacrament procession.

The pilgrims also visited  Aljustrel where the three children lived also Nazare with its lovely beaches and then, on the final night, an overnight stay in Lisbon visiting St Anthony’s Church and Lisbon cathedral.

On pilgrim reported, “We arrived home feeling very privileged to have had the opportunity to be part of such a special pilgrimage”.
