Mary’s Meals – Lettie

Mary’s Meals is now feeding over 3 million, hungry children living in some of the world’s poorest countries – all made possible by a series of lots of little acts of love. The work is named after Mary, the mother of Jesus, who brought up her own child in poverty.
On MONDAY 24 AUGUST at 7 p.m. In St Mary’s Forebank Hall there will be a showing of the short film “Lettie” which tells the story of a young girl who, with her siblings, was struggling with hunger following the loss of their parents. Being able to attend school, receive a meal every day and make the most of her education she has blossomed into a thriving, capable, confident young woman. The film lasts for 36 minutes following which there will be the chance to ask questions and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
