A Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated on the evening of Friday 7th June 2013 to mark the Golden Jubilee of the opening of St Columbaโs, Church, Dundee.
Before Mass the children of the parish acted out the life of St Columba. The principal Celebrant of the Mass was Fr Neil Gallagher, parish priest of St. Columbaโs. The concelebrants were Mgr Basil OโSullivan, Diocesan Administrator and former parish priest of St Columbaโs, Mgr Kenneth McBride, Canon John Harty and Canon Aldo Angelosanto, both former parish priest of the parish, Canon Michael Milton, who served in the parish as an Assistant Priest, Fr Colin Golden, and Fr Leszek Wiฤcaszek.
In his homily Fr Gallagher highlighted the life of St. Columba, the patron of the Parish, and the commitment of parishioners during the 50 years of the life of the parish. A reception for all present was held in the Church Hall after the Mass.
