Kilgraston School hosted its annual Christmas Concert last Friday. With over 200 performers on stage there was a wonderful selection of festive music to start the season in style.
The orchestra opened the evening in style with a rousing rendition of โPirates of the Caribbeanโ, the string ensemble reprised their performance of Vivaldiโs Concerto in G which was last performed alongside Nicola Benedetti.
Festive musical highlights included a wonderful A Capella version of Carol of the Bells in addition to the school Jazz Band performing โThe Most Wonderful Time of the Yearโ. The congregation joined in with Carol singing and were even on their feet for the whole schoolโs performance of the Take that hit โNever Forgetโ. Director of Music Andrew McGarva said: โthe Christmas concert is a major highlight of the school year and provides the opportunity for every girl from age 5 โ 18 โ plus our own staff choir – to perform at the Perth Concert Hall to a packed audienceโ.
