Kilgraston Christmas Concert

DSC_0535Kilgraston School hosted its annual Christmas Concert last Friday. With over 200 performers on stage there was a wonderful selection of festive music to start the season in style.

The orchestra opened the evening in style with a rousing rendition of โ€˜Pirates of the Caribbeanโ€™, the string ensemble reprised their performance of Vivaldiโ€™s Concerto in G which was last performed alongside Nicola Benedetti.

Festive musical highlights included a wonderful A Capella version of Carol of the Bells in addition to the school Jazz Band performing โ€˜The Most Wonderful Time of the Yearโ€™. The congregation joined in with Carol singing and were even on their feet for the whole schoolโ€™s performance of the Take that hit โ€˜Never Forgetโ€™. Director of Music Andrew McGarva said: โ€œthe Christmas concert is a major highlight of the school year and provides the opportunity for every girl from age 5 โ€“ 18 โ€“ plus our own staff choir – to perform at the Perth Concert Hall to a packed audienceโ€.
