The Diocese of Dunkeld is pleased to announce two new key appointments to support its communications and engagement across print and digital platforms.
A diocesan spokesperson said:“We are committed to building stronger connections within our diocesan community and beyond. These appointments mark an exciting step forward in how we share our stories, celebrate our faith, and reach people where they are — whether that’s in a parish pew or on a smartphone screen.”
Jamie Stewart Jones has been appointed Editor of the relaunched Dunkeld News, the diocesan magazine set to return in September 2025, coinciding with the first anniversary of Bishop Andrew’s installation. Jamie brings over 25 years of experience in publishing, editing and translation, with a background that includes roles at DC Thomson, the Portuguese Journal of Social Science, and universities in Lisbon, Glasgow, Dundee, and Stirling.
“Jamie’s eye for detail, storytelling ability and deep understanding of faith and culture make him the ideal person to guide the next chapter of Dunkeld News,” the spokesperson said.
“We look forward to relaunching a publication that informs, inspires, and unites.”
Jamie welcomes contributions and content ideas from across the Diocese and can be contacted at: dunkeldnews@dunkelddiocese.org.uk
To enhance the Diocese’s digital presence, Francesca Forbes has joined as Social Media Coordinator. With a degree in Business Management and professional experience running her own marketing business, Francesca brings both strategic and creative expertise. She will oversee content across Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
“Francesca’s passion for digital storytelling and building online communities will help us bring the message of the Church to wider audiences in fresh and engaging ways,” the spokesperson added.
“We especially hope to connect more effectively with younger generations and those who may be exploring faith from a distance.”
Recent projects include coverage of the Annual Schools Mass and the launch of a digital campaign for the 2025 Lourdes Pilgrimage.
