Opening of the St Ninian Institute

Archbishop Antonio Mennini, Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain officially opened the new St Ninian Institute, Lawside, Dundee. This new Catholic Education Institute will provide a range of part-time distance learning courses, lectures and Conferences.

The opening Ceremony was attended by Bishop Joseph Toal of Argyll and the Isles and Bishop Stephen Robson, Auxiliary Bishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh, who gave the homily during the opening Mass celebrated in St Joseph’s Chapel.

Also present were Bishop Vincent Logan, Bishop Emeritus of Dunkeld, Mgr Basil O’Sullivan, Administrator of the Diocese, Lord Provost Bob Duncan of Dundee, and representatives from local catholic secondary schools.
