The church hall at Our Lady of Victories, known to so many as St Mary’s Forebank, was buzzing on Sunday 26 March when Canon Kevin Golden invited all parishioners to a parish lunch to gather together to get to know one another better while enjoying delicious food and drink. A fantastic array of glorious foods was available with tasty home-made soup and stovies, a buffet selection of meats, cheeses, salads, mouthwatering fried rice and sumptuous chicken and rice dishes, as well as cakes of all descriptions and to suit all tastes.
Parishioners mixed, mingled, shared news and laughter and the servers and washing up team were kept busy. The afternoon passed really quickly and we look forward to building on the relationships established and cemented during this lovely celebration of who we are as a community. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and making this a joyful, special, memorable event.
