Bishop Stephen congratulates Dr Harry Schnitker on the occasion of his institution as a Lector on his journey to the Permanent Diaconate. Dr Schnitker is assistant Chaplain to HMP Perth.
The ceremony came at the end of a two day visit to HMP Glenochill and HMP Perth, celebrating Christmas Vigil Masses with several of the prison communities.
At one of the Masses one young man received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
