Parish Safeguarding Coordinators (PSC’s) from around the Diocese gathered at the Pastoral Centre, Forebank, Dundee on Saturday 24th May, 2025, for the latest Safeguarding Development Day.
These meetings are held biannually to ensure that PSC’s are up to date with the latest safeguarding information for their parish ministry and also to allow the Diocese Safeguarding Team hear issues that are being experienced in the parishes.
This meeting was coordinated by Linda Gourlay, who took on the position of Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor in April.
The meeting was also greatly added to by input from Jeni Sinclair, Dementia Advisor from Alzheimer Scotland who talked to the group about identify signs of dementia in our ageing population.
