As you may be aware the Diocese took ownership of St Joseph’s, Wellburn Home from the Little Sisters of the Poor in August this year, with the condition set by the Care Commission that we commence a new build in 2016. The projected build will be in the region of £7.2 million. The funds will be raised by various means:
- Diocesan Parish Fundraising
- Special Investment Initiatives
- Financial Institution Loans
Timescales are tight and the Diocese has organised the first of many fundraising initiatives commencing with the Adevent Campaign – ‘Wee Boxes for Wellburn’
You might take a wee box and put any 1p, 2p or 5p coins in it over the Advent Season – and return it to your parish priest in time for Christmas.
