SSVP Sign Up at St Mary’s, Lochee

SSVP

St Mary’s Church, Lochee, is inviting parishioners and members of the wider community to consider volunteering with the Society of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP), a Catholic charitable organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families experiencing poverty, hardship and isolation.

An Information and Sign-up Evening will take place on Monday 16 November at 7pm in the lower church hall at St Mary’s, Lochee. The meeting will be attended by Anthony Cassidy, Diocesan President of the SSVP, who will offer guidance and insight into the Society’s work and the opportunities available for volunteers.

Those who attended the initial information meeting are warmly encouraged to return and formally register their interest. Anyone who missed the first gathering is equally welcome to come along, learn more about the Society and discover how they might contribute.

The SSVP relies on the generosity, compassion and commitment of volunteers who give their time and talents to help people facing difficult circumstances. Whether through practical assistance, friendship or simply offering a listening ear, volunteers can make a meaningful difference in their local community.

St Mary’s extends a warm invitation to everyone willing to share their empathy, compassion, skills and time in the service of those most in need.
