The parish of St Columba’s, Kirkton, Dundee, is inviting parishioners, friends and members of the wider community to come together for a special Harvest Lunch at St Columba’s Church Hall on Friday 30 October 2026, from 1pm to 3pm.
Organised by St Columba’s Social Committee, the event promises an enjoyable afternoon of food, friendship and fellowship, while raising funds for the international charity Mary’s Meals.
Tickets cost just £5 per person, with all profits being donated to Mary’s Meals, which provides nutritious daily meals to children in some of the world’s poorest communities, helping them to attend school and gain an education.
Following lunch, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the charity’s inspiring work. Claire, a representative of Mary’s Meals, has been invited to attend and will introduce a short film highlighting the difference the organisation is making to the lives of children and families around the world. She will also give a short talk about the charity’s mission and achievements.
The Social Committee hopes that parishioners and friends will support this worthwhile occasion, enjoying an afternoon together while contributing to a cause that brings hope and practical assistance to children in need.
Everyone is warmly invited to come along and support this special fundraising event.
