Priests from across the diocese gathered to celebrate Mass with Bishop Stephen Robson at 12 noon on Thursday 11th November, 2021. The occasion was the Annual Mass for the Deceased Bishops, Priests and Deacons of Dunkeld Diocese.
In his opening prayers, Bishop Stephen named his predecessor, Bishop Vincent Logan, who died earlier this year, and Fr Jim McCruden, Fr Tony McCarthy, Mgr Charles Hendry and Mgr John Harty and Deacon Tom Clark as well as Bishop Philip Tartaglia of Glasgow all of whose deaths span the months since the start of the pandemic. In total their service spanned more than 300 years.
The Gospel was proclaimed by Deacon Jim Leary, from Ss Peter and Paul’s, Dundee.
