The latest issue of Dunkeld News (Series 2 Issue 3) is available online and has been distributed to all our schools and parishes.

The Alpha course is starting at St. James’ in Kinross this week, and will also be running in other parishes in the Diocese of Dunkeld this year!

Spam Emails: Please beware that spammers are using names of clergy to send spam emails. These emails usually include a message with “Are you free just now?” or similar. Please do not respond to these emails.

St. James, Kinross

The Alpha course is starting at St. James’ in Kinross this Thursday (23rd April 2026), running from 6.30-8.00pm.

The course will run fortnightly and all are welcome!  Join us for delicious food, friendship and fellowship, and the opportunity to freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment.

St. Mary, Lochee

St Mary’s Primary School have generously agreed to join with the parish choir to lead the singing at the 160th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass, which will be celebrated by Bishop Andrew. Another divine musical experience to come on 13th May at 7pm!

St. Columba, Kirkton

‘Spring Into April’ with St Columba’s Afternoon Tea! It will take place on Tuesday 28th April 2026 2pm – 4pm in the Church Hall. Tickets are £5 each, which includes Prize Bingo, so we hope you will come along and join us on the day.

St. Leonard & St. Fergus, Dundee

Confirmation: Bishop Andrew will celebrate 10am Mass at SS Leonard and Fergus on Sunday, 26th April and administer the Sacrament of Confirmation on our young people.

St. John the Baptist, Perth

In the last 6 months alone, we, as a parish, have donated a massive 888.9 kilos of non-perishable food. Also, we collected £1163.65 for SCIAF this year. The generosity of our parishioners has helped to put food on the table for those who struggle. The Foodbank Team/SCIAF are very grateful to you. I sincerely thank you all for your love and generosity.

St. Mungo, Alloa, and St. Serf, High Valleyfield

KSC Charity Evening – On Friday 1st May the KSC are hosting a celebration of Irish & Scottish Music featuring the amazing Robert Ferguson. Tickets are priced at only £10 and this includes a bowl of Stovies & Oatcakes. Tickets will be on sale after Mass on Saturday 11th April and Sunday 12th April and each weekend Mass following these. Tickets will go fast so please get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

St. Serf’s @ 50: you are invited to the 50th anniversary Mass of St. Serf’s RCPS High Valley field on Friday 24th April 2026 by Bishop Andrew Mckenzie, at 1.45pm in the school.

St. Fergus, Forfar, and St. Anthony, Kirriemuir

Feast of St Anthony – Celebration: the Feast of St Anthony is celebrated on June 13th. This has traditionally been celebrated as a Mass, followed by a BBQ and get together. This year however, June 13th occurs on a Saturday. Therefore, the Vigil Mass will be held at St Anthony’s Kirriemuir, and NOT as is usual at St Fergus, Forfar. Reminders will be put out nearer the date.

St. Fillan, Newport-on-Tay, and Our Lady Star of the Sea, Tayport

Foodbank: Taybridgehead Foodbank is in need of donations, either of food/household goods or financial donations.  Please do continue to support in any way you can.

Help with the café in St. Fillan’s after Sunday Mass is welcome.  Please also consider offering to help with the Church cleaning after Mass.

St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Dundee

From Canon Kevin: what a joy it was to be present at the Easter Mass for the African community last Sunday at St. Ninian’s – such a wonderful musical celebration.  Father Michael thanks all who supported this event.
