Platinum Celebration of Ordination – June 17, 2026
1956—2026

Dear Parishioners

I want to thank everyone for the recent celebrations of my platinum anniversary.  It was a real community effort, and I have to thank everyone for making it such a special occasion.

Also, for the lovely cards, messages and gifts which came in such  abundance–and above all, for the very generous sum collected for me  –   I am taking this opportunity of expressing my gratitude to all concerned.

I have been privileged to be appointed the priest here in my declining years and am grateful for all the support and help given to me by the parishioners.  I would not be able to carry out my pastoral responsibilities without such help and support.  Once again, many thanks.

Graces and blessing to everyone connected with the parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Auchterarder.

Monsignor Basil
